    @HennaVirkkunen

    Good.
    No appeasement. No bowing to pressure.
    Massive fines and a ban on what is now just a foreign influence campaign with criminal intentions.

    @HennaVirkkunen

    Why is X allowed to operate in the EU in the light of these breaches. Shouldn't it be suspended until cleared?

    After all it is not a question if X/Twitter is disseminating CSAM. It is doing it plain sight.

    @HennaVirkkunen Please, go and ban this Sh**hole Place in the Internet called X. We have to fight for out values as Europeans, and the time for wearing velvet gloves dealing with US Tech-companies is over!

    @HennaVirkkunen please, please do everything in your power to stop x in Europe. Fake, sexual images of children are one thing. Freedom from bad influence is another. We need clarity, freedom and we have a right to the truth. I know that when we stop x, they will try to find something else, but for now, let's just try to find peace and truth and rid ourselves of this medium.

    @DG1JAN @HennaVirkkunen

    I don't agree with X's hive, but please do not advocate for banning something based on "values". That is censorship.

    Ban it based on laws, if applicable.

    It would be great if EU maintained Rule of Law, unlike our friends across the pond.

    @HennaVirkkunen I strongly welcome this decision. As I find this issue very pressing, i would like to know:
    1. When will you make a decision about interim measures? I find it unacceptable to have this kind a crime committed and could imagine a temporary ban of the delinquent service beeing a great measure to mitigate harm done to the eu and its citizens.
    2. when will there be a decision about non-compliance ? The investigation has been going on for over 2 years now and fines do not seem to help.

    @HennaVirkkunen I am of the opinion that X has no place in the EU, and that its use should be to the least strongly discouraged.

    @androcat @HennaVirkkunen No more appeasement. Fully agree on that one.

    @HennaVirkkunen Great step... BUT... We should also stop lending any hint of legitimacy to X by having governments and official bodies communicate using this platform. Also given current events it's the prudent move to improve European digital sovereignty.

    We don't need to ban it. Just leave.

    @jarekrozanski @HennaVirkkunen X has become an hate echo chamber for right-wings and similar scum. If they don't maintain their content (according DSA) - what Musky is claiming censorship - than they have to get banned in the EU. I would like to see a print media on the EU marked, delivering the same abusive content on a daily basis than X?
